The types of single-pass printers mainly include the following:
Inkjet printers: Liquid ink is sprayed onto paper through a nozzle to form text and images. Suitable for printing photos and color documents, with high print quality, suitable for home and small office environments. The disadvantages are slow printing speed, easy drying of ink, and regular cleaning of the nozzle.
Laser printers: Use laser beams to transfer image information to the photosensitive drum, and then use static electricity to absorb toner, and finally fix the toner to the paper. Suitable for printing a large number of documents, with fast printing speed and high print quality, suitable for offices and large enterprises. The disadvantages are high initial prices and high maintenance costs.
Thermal printers: The surface of thermal paper is heated by a thermal head to change its color to form text and images, without ink or toner. Suitable for supermarket cashiers, ticket printing and label printing, etc., with fast printing speed, simple structure and small size. The disadvantages are low print quality and short shelf life of thermal paper.
Dot matrix printer : The needle of the print head hits the ribbon to form dot matrix text and images on the paper. It is suitable for places that require multi-copy printing, such as banks, taxation and logistics. The advantages are that it supports multi-layer printing, low printing cost and strong durability. The disadvantages are slow printing speed and high noise.
